Harnessing the power of physics like an action sports Einstein, Mark McMorris’ light-speed leap into snowboarding’s forefront is nothing short of genius.
After learning to ride in the flatlands of Saskatchewan, Mark blew up with a 2011 X Games slopestyle silver and a decisive win at the Air and Style. Proving he’s more than a one-trick pony, Mark’s list of accolades has only expanded and diversified, including double X Games Big Air and Slopestyle gold, competition-first triple corks, and appearances in Red Bull’s The Art of Flight and Burton’s 13. His 2013 season was no exception, with more victories and podiums at the Dew Tour, X Games Aspen and Tignes, the Burton European and US Opens, along with the overall TTR Slopestyle title. All this and Mark still found time to film for the new Burton Presents – RESORT (Snowboarding) video. Now that slopestyle is an Olympic event, Mark’s brand of space and time-warping freestyle is primed to make the kid from Regina a worldwide name.Age: 20 Home Town: Regina, Saskatchewan Home Mountain: Don't have one Stance: Regular, 23.5" wide, 13° front, -12° back
