Mikkel Bang is used to being pretty high, because he is so tall, but he got even higher recently in the upper elevations of Breckenridge and Keystone with Alex Østreng. Check out that smooth style.

This weekend marks the 25th anniversary of the Legendary Mt. Baker Banked Slalom. People come from all over the world to race in the natural halfpipe at Mt. Baker, check out all the pro cameos in this video for proof. Last year Danny Davis, Stephan Maurer, and Terje Haakonsen took to the course. Terje is no stranger to the Banked Slalom and has won a handful of times over the years, including one year he qualified switch. If you are within an 8 hour drive from Baker, it's worth the trip.  February 10-12. Check out the results of year's past and this year here.

Just because someone is from Wisconsin doesn’t necessarily make them the cheese-whiz. Maybe Ethan Deiss was too busy riding and entertaining everyone with cheesy jokes to study his curds and whey. And that’s alright with us. Learn some sharp facts about Ethan in this here interview.

1. Being from Wisconsin and all…what’s your favorite cheese?
I like cheese curds. I don’t know too much about cheese though.

2. You grew up riding in Trollhaugen, Wisconsin, what was that like?
It was really tight! Troll is two miles from my house and my friends and I would ride there every day after school! Now that we're all older we ride there after we sleep.

3. You had pretty good parts in Standing Sideways and Retrospect, what was it like filming for those videos?
It was so much fun! I loved filming with both crews. It was my first year filming for big projects and it went pretty smooth. I'm really excited for this season now that I'm getting the hang of all the traveling. I used to just hang out in Minnesota all season and film my parts.

4. You hit a bunch of stops on the Standing Sideways tour, what was that like?
It was so tight! I could write a book about that trip! It felt like we woke up in a different country every morning! It was a good time for sure!

5. Tell us about Tokyo Rail Days. Did you eat anything that was still moving?
Japan was so sick! It felt like I teleported into the future or something. The contest was awesome, too. I usually don’t do contests, so it felt good to place top three! All the homies were out there so the riding was tight. Besides the pouring rain!

6. Were you the tour guide a lot on Midwest rail missions last year?
Nah, I have no idea where the spots are in Minnesota! I call my friend Riley and he helps us out! I guess in Wisconsin I showed the guys some spots though.

7. With so many pros moving west to places like Mammoth, Tahoe, and Whistler, do you see yourself following or remaining in the Midwest?
I’m staying in Minnesota or Wisconsin. I like the feeling of traveling to those big mountain towns to board. It makes it feel more like vacation for me. Besides, I have too many homies here, I can't leave!

8. Any cool stories from the Norway trip? A lot of people are probably curious to the backstory of when you were bending that board backwards.
Moran has all the stories of that trip! I blacked out from being so excited! It was my first time to Europe! About the bending of that board...we weren't trying to bend it; we were trying to snap it. I can’t believe we couldn’t get it to break. Little did we know the board was trying to snap us.

9. What do you have planned for this season?
Snowboard as much as I can. I’m filming for the Burton video full-time this year and hopefully I can get some time in with Videograss, too.

10. Who are the most fun people to travel with?
Any of my friends.

11. What are some of your favorite urban features to find and hit?
I like wallrides now. I hit my first one last season and it was super fun. Now I’m trying to find a new bigger one.

12. What’s the weirdest thing that’s happened while you were at a spot? Like security, bums…crazy ladies?
I've literally dealt with all those types of people! Police, gangs, city workers, crack heads…you just never know. It’s our entertainment while we’re not boarding.

Two minutes at Brighton wouldn't do much good. Someone can hardly get their boots on in that amount of time. With the help of editing, Alex Andrews and the guys can do way more than put on boots in under 120 seconds.
